Sold as a pair, part 101220 is the HEPA filter for ProTeam's ProVac, Sierra and Everest backpack vacuums. It is the last stage the air passes through before it leaves the machine, which is why it matters in schools, clinics and offices where the vacuum runs around people rather than after hours.
HEPA media loads steadily whether or not the machine looks dirty, and a loaded filter costs airflow at the nozzle long before anyone thinks to open the housing. On a machine in daily service, inspect the filter monthly and expect to replace it once or twice a year. Buying two at a time means the spare is already on the shelf when the first is due, which is usually the difference between a filter being changed and a filter being knocked out and put back.
