This replacement water pan gasket (Part #R7284) seals between the motor and the water basin on the Rexair D-5 Model E. It fits the Rainbow E and E2 series and forms the boundary that keeps the water-based filtration sealed against the motor.
When this gasket hardens, cracks, or flattens, you may notice reduced suction or water leaking at the basin, since a broken seal lets air and moisture pass where they should not. A leaking gasket also risks water reaching the motor. Fitting a fresh gasket restores a clean seal and steady suction.
