Built for Beam central vacuum installations, this floor mount adaptor is a replacement fitting that joins central vacuum piping components into a secure, airtight run. Central vacuum performance depends almost entirely on the integrity of the pipe network behind the walls, and a single loose or poorly seated fitting can cost the whole system noticeable suction.
Floor-mounted connections see stress that wall fittings do not, since they sit where feet, furniture, and the hose itself can knock against them. A sound adaptor keeps the joint sealed and supported at floor level.
Verify pipe diameter compatibility with your existing Beam system before purchasing, and use PVC solvent cement where the installation calls for it. A properly cemented joint is permanent and leak free, which is exactly what you want buried in a floor or wall.
