This is the 10-inch floor brush for the Oreck Buster B, part 430001306, supplied with its plastic elbow so the head swivels where it meets the wand.

A floor brush earns its keep on bare floors: the bristles sweep dust into the airflow instead of blowing it around, and the wide head means fewer passes across a room. The elbow matters as much as the brush, because when it stiffens or cracks the head stops following the wand and starts skidding rather than gliding.

Bristles wear from the edges in. Once they have flattened, the brush pushes fine dust ahead of it and leaves a line along the baseboards, and the plastic body starts making contact with the floor. Replacing the head restores the soft, even contact that hard floors need. It is sized for the Buster B, so check the wand fitting against yours before ordering.
