Product details

Part 70082EVC is the secondary filter for the Eureka 4870 SmartVac upright. It sits downstream of the primary filtration, catching what gets past it and keeping fine dust away from the motor.

Secondary filters are the ones people forget, which is why so many 4870s end up short on suction with a perfectly clean primary filter fitted. As the secondary loads, airflow drops across the whole machine, the exhaust starts smelling dusty rather than neutral, and the motor spends its day working against the restriction.

Change it every six to twelve months, or sooner if suction has fallen off and both the primary filter and the airway check out clear. It seats directly in place of the original, so the swap takes a minute and the machine breathes properly again straight away.
