Part 1783000700 is the black bumper strip that wraps the leading edge of the Filter Queen AT1100 power nozzle. It is the piece that takes the hit every time the nozzle meets a baseboard, a chair leg or a door frame.
Bumpers do not fail suddenly. They go brittle, split at a corner, then work loose and finally come away, and the first sign is usually a scuff mark on painted trim where there never used to be one. Once the strip is gone the nozzle housing itself is what makes contact, and that damage does not come back.
Fitting a fresh one restores the protective edge and tidies up the front of the nozzle at the same time. Check that your machine is the AT1100 before ordering, as bumper profiles differ between Filter Queen power nozzle generations and this one is cut for that housing.
