This replacement foam and felt filter (Part #F659, replacing Shark #XFF450) fits the Shark Rotator Professional NV450. The pieces sit ahead of the motor, screening fine dust before it can reach and wear the internals.
Foam and felt elements compress and clog as they age, and worn ones pass grit through while suction fades. When the foam stops springing back after a rinse, the Rotator loses pull and the motor loses its front-line guard. A fresh set restores both.
