The F77 is the filter for the Dirt Devil Vibe 3-in-1 stick vacuum, model SD20020, and this is that filter, part AD40077, also carried as 440003993. It sits between the dirt cup and the motor and does all of the fine filtration on a bagless machine.
Stick vacuums load their filters quickly because there is no bag doing the coarse work first. What you notice is that the machine empties easily but still will not pick up: the cup is clear, the brush turns, and the suction at the nozzle is soft. That is a choked filter, and tapping it out only buys back part of what a new one gives.
The filter drops into its housing without tools. Keep the old one as a spare while it still has life, and check that your model is the SD20020 before ordering, as Dirt Devil's stick range uses several filters that look alike.
