Holding the filter firmly in its bay, this replacement Kenmore filter cover (Part #KC41KDECZV06) fits compatible Kenmore vacuums. It closes over the filter compartment and keeps the media seated so incoming air passes through it rather than around it.
A cover that has warped or lost a clip lets the filter drift out of position, and unfiltered air then slips past and reaches the motor. Replacing the cover returns the filter to a tight, correctly seated fit.
