This replacement foam filter set (Part #F653, replacing Shark #XFF500) fits the Shark NV500 bagless upright. The pair includes the pre-motor foam and the round sponge that together shield the motor from fine dust.

Foam filters compress and tear as they age, and a flattened set lets debris slip past while airflow falls. When the pieces no longer spring back after rinsing, suction drops and the motor loses its protection. A fresh set restores full pickup.
