Product details

The rocker switch for the Bernina 6100, Evolution part 01-9302-06. It is the on/off switch that carries power to the motor.

Switch faults have a signature. The machine needs the switch pressed twice, or held at an angle, before it starts; it cuts out mid-clean and comes back when you nudge the rocker; eventually it stops responding at all. That is the contacts inside arcing and pitting, and once it begins it gets worse quickly, because every arc erodes a little more of the contact face.

The new switch wires in and restores clean, positive switching. Unplug the vacuum before going anywhere near it, and photograph the wiring before pulling the spades off so everything goes back on the same terminals.
