This OEM replacement brush roll shaft (part 35663A) fits the Eureka VG1 12-inch brush roll. The shaft is the central axle the brush roll rotates on, setting the bristle line against the carpet as the roll spins.
A bent or worn shaft makes the brush roll wobble instead of turning true, which leaves streaks of uncleaned carpet and accelerates belt wear. Left in service, the imbalance can chew through belts and bearings. A straight replacement shaft restores smooth, balanced rotation across the full 12-inch width.
