This Sanitaire S635 Blue Line upright hood is a genuine OEM replacement housing for Eureka and Sanitaire uprights in the S635 family. Depending on production run, the part may arrive in gray or blue, so expect either finish. Functionally the two are identical, and either color restores the machine to sound working order.
The hood keeps the upright properly assembled during use, shielding the internal components from dust and impact and holding everything in alignment. A cracked or missing hood leaves the internals exposed, which shortens the life of a vacuum that would otherwise keep running for years.
