This genuine OEM hood assembly fits the Sanitaire SC5845 commercial upright and covers the Eureka and Sanitaire SC5815E, SC5845B, and SC5845D. The hood is the outer shell over the top of the machine that protects the motor, wiring, and internals.
A cracked or broken hood exposes those internals to dust and impact and throws off the alignment of the parts beneath it. In commercial service the shell takes constant knocks. A fresh hood assembly closes the machine back up, shielding the working parts and restoring a solid, aligned housing.
