This genuine OEM handle release pedal fits Sanitaire and Eureka SC-5845 commercial uprights. Stepping on the pedal unlocks the handle so you can recline the machine to clean under furniture and along low obstacles.
When the pedal cracks or its return fails, the handle stays locked upright and the vacuum can no longer be tilted back for low reach. A fresh release pedal restores smooth, foot-operated reclining.
