Sealing the dust bag to the machine body on Eureka uprights, this replacement bag ring gasket (Part #36968) fits model 2122A and forms the airtight connection between the bag and the housing. It sits at the bag mount.
As the gasket hardens or deteriorates, dusty air escapes around the bag instead of passing through it, which lowers filtration and lets fine dust back into the room. A fresh gasket restores the seal so all air is filtered through the bag.
