This replacement gasket fits the Sanitaire 887 upright, and the C2132A, sealing the joint between housing sections so air travels the intended path. The gasket compresses between mating surfaces to close the small gaps that would otherwise let air slip past the airflow channel.
A flattened, torn, or missing gasket opens leaks that bleed suction away from the nozzle, and even a minor gap noticeably weakens pickup. A fresh gasket restores the airtight seal and returns airflow to the level the machine was built for.
