This Sanitaire exhaust cover assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part for the S5500 EON Quiet Clean upright vacuum. It holds the exhaust filter properly seated and shields it from damage, closing the final stage of the machine's filtration path.
When an exhaust cover is broken or missing, unfiltered air can bypass the filter entirely, which defeats the purpose of having filtration at all. Fitting this replacement restores correct airflow routing and clean exhaust output, and the assembly installs in place of the original without modification.
Compatibility is confirmed for the Eureka SC5500A and SC5500B as well as the Sanitaire SC5500A and SC5500B. If your EON upright is blowing dusty air or the exhaust filter will not stay seated, this cover assembly is the likely fix, and it is an easy one to install at home.
