These genuine OEM brush roll end caps in the hex style keep the brush roll aligned and turning on Eureka and Sanitaire uprights. The hex-shaped ends engage the drive system so the roll spins true, and this new-style cap takes the rubber cover and mount.
Worn or broken end caps let the brush roll wobble or slip off the drive belt, which reduces agitation and can throw the belt. Fitting fresh hex caps restores proper alignment and a solid connection to the drive.
