This hi-performance replacement tank motor (Part #6500-293) fits Electrolux and Aerus plastic-body canister vacuums built between 1984 and 2001, including the 2100, 6500, Renaissance, and Ambassador. Rated at 10 amps, 120 volts, 60 Hz, and 5.0 peak horsepower, it drives the suction fan at the heart of the canister.

A motor that runs weak, noisy, or has quit altogether robs the whole system of suction, since bearings and brushes wear over decades of service. Installing a fresh tank motor to the original rating returns full pulling power to the canister.
