The Plastiflex SV8060 45-degree spigot elbow is a central vacuum fitting that connects to standard 2 inch piping, with a spigot end that seats directly into the hub of an adjacent fitting. That detail saves a separate coupling and keeps joints compact in crowded runs behind walls and between joists.
Use solvent-welded or slip-fit connections as appropriate for your piping, and take the time to make each seal airtight. A built-in vacuum only performs as well as its worst joint, and proper fitting installation ensures maximum suction at every wall inlet in the home.
