The Dyson DC24 brushroll end cap (Part #10-3605-06) is a replacement cap that secures the brushroll inside the DC24 bagless upright. It holds the roller in position so it spins without shifting or wobbling during use.
When the cap breaks or falls out, the brushroll works loose and moves out of alignment. That shows up as rattling noise, uneven cleaning across the width of the head, and extra wear on the belt as the roller pulls to one side. Fitting a new cap seats the brushroll firmly again for smooth, even operation.
