For the MC2200 and MC2205, this replacement Panasonic dust scraping lever (part #AMC48K-X50) scrapes accumulated dust from the filter surface so the machine keeps clear airflow between cleanings.
A broken or seized lever can no longer clear the filter, so dust builds up, airflow drops, and suction fades as the filter chokes. A stuck lever may also bind against the housing. A working lever restores the scraping action that keeps the filter breathing.
