Where a small spot brush runs out of patience, the large hand brush takes over. Part 6392 puts a wide bristle face on a full-size handle, which is what a whole runner, a set of car mats or a broad traffic lane calls for when wheeling the machine out is more trouble than the job deserves.

Treat it as the arm-powered equivalent of what the SEBO Duo machine does. The bristles carry granules of DUO-P below the top of the pile, down at the level where soil actually collects, and keep the compound moving so it grabs rather than settles. Width is the point of this one: a wide face covers ground quickly and spreads pressure evenly, so a treated area comes up consistent instead of blotchy wherever you happened to scrub hardest.

Bristles lose their spring after enough scrubbing. Once they lean over permanently the brush stops reaching into the carpet at all, and the compound ends up doing nothing on the surface. Sold here as a single brush; SEBO also cartons it as 6392A1 in packs of six for cleaners who work through them.

Hand brushing has a place alongside the machine rather than instead of it. Run the machine over the open floor, then take the hand brush along the edges, into the corners and up the stair treads it cannot follow, and the room comes up evenly instead of showing a clean centre and tired margins.
