This 2-pack of Style 12 drive belts is a replacement set for the Dirt Devil Platinum Force upright vacuum. Each belt links the motor shaft to the brush roll so the roll spins at the speed the machine needs for carpet cleaning.
Drive belts stretch, glaze, and eventually snap as they heat and flex through normal use, and a loose or broken belt lets the brush roll slow or stop entirely. Fitting a fresh belt returns the brush roll to full speed so it agitates carpet and lifts embedded dirt.
