This 13.25-inch wooden brush roll with square end caps carries double white bristles and ball bearings, built for Royal metal uprights and Dirt Devil commercial models with old-style nozzles. It agitates carpet across the full width, and the ball bearings support smooth, high-speed rotation.

Bristles wear flat and bearings loosen over years of commercial use, and a spent roll drags without lifting dirt. This replacement no longer includes the metal stiffener; slide the roller into the existing metal clip to install and restore full agitation.
