Product details

Part 440006415 is the main canister assembly for the Dirt Devil UD70300, the upright Dirt Devil sells as the Lift and Go, and it is the structural shell that keeps that machine's internal components seated where the design intends them to sit.

Housing damage on a vacuum rarely shows itself all at once. A fall down a short flight of stairs or a hard knock into a piece of furniture can leave behind a crack that is barely visible on first inspection, and that hairline fracture spreads under the ordinary vibration of continued use until a mounting clip finally gives way and something loose starts rattling around inside where nothing did before. It is worth checking the body periodically for warping around the seams, cracks that were not there previously, and mounting clips that no longer hold as tightly as they should, since catching the damage early keeps this a simple swap rather than a full rebuild later on.

Once a clip has actually broken free inside the housing, whatever it was holding, whether a filter cage, a switch, or the motor mount itself, can shift out of alignment and cause secondary problems well beyond the original crack.

Replacing the assembly restores the shell that keeps the internal components seated in their intended positions, and on an otherwise sound machine that is a far more economical fix than retiring the whole unit outright.
