This OEM dirty water filter fits the Dirt Devil / Royal CE-6600 Easy Steamer, model 6600. The foam filter sits in the recovery path and traps larger particles pulled off the floor before they reach the motor and internal components.
A foam filter that tears, packs with residue, or breaks down stops screening debris, letting grit reach parts it should protect and dulling recovery performance. Checking the foam regularly and replacing it when worn keeps the recovery side working as designed.
