This cord reel assembly (Part #8195114) is a replacement 28-foot retractable cord unit for the Kenmore 3306. The reel stores the power cord and pays it out and rewinds it while feeding line power to the vacuum.
A cord reel that no longer retracts, sticks partway, or shows a damaged cord is both a nuisance and a safety concern. Exposed wires, intermittent power, or scorch marks near the plug mean the assembly should be replaced. A fresh reel restores smooth retraction and reliable power.
