This genuine OEM brush roll fits Hoover Convertible uprights with plastic end caps and no beater bar, covering models C1067, C1085, and C1091. The all-bristle roll spins on the belt to agitate carpet fibers and lift the debris a worn roller leaves behind.
Over time the bristles wear down and hair, string, and lint wrap the shaft, so the roll stops agitating and drags on the belt. A fresh roll restores the deep-cleaning agitation the vacuum was designed to deliver.
