This replacement slide vent fits the Compact power nozzle and controls how much air bleeds through the cleaning head. Sliding the vent open or closed lets you dial suction up or down for different floor types.
When the slide sticks, cracks, or no longer moves, you lose that airflow control, and on thick carpet the nozzle can pull down hard and become difficult to push. A working vent restores easy adjustment and smooth gliding across every surface.
