This dual-purpose outer bag mounts on Sanitaire and Eureka commercial uprights combining a dump-bottom with a zipper, part 534161. Tip the dump panel and the collected dust drops right into a bin, no need to detach the bag from the machine first, or run the zipper the full way around when it is time to swap the paper insert or give the fabric itself a shake-out.
Outer bags fail quietly rather than all at once. Fine dust settles into the weave over time and starts choking airflow, the zipper teeth separate under repeated full loads, and stitched corners can open after enough use. Any of these shows up as weakening suction that a fresh paper insert alone will not fix, since this outer layer is doing secondary filtration on top of holding the insert in place.
Commercial uprights that run daily wear through this faster than a home machine used once a week, so a shop or cleaning route may need to replace the outer bag well before the machine shows any other signs of age.
