Part AC82DBPJZV06 is the wand clip for the Panasonic MC-V9658. Its job is to hold the wand and its attachments where they belong — clipped to the machine — rather than loose in your hand or rolling under the sofa.

Clips are small, moulded, and under spring load whenever something is stowed in them, which is a combination that eventually cracks. The failure is more nuisance than fault: the wand rattles in transit, tools drop off as you carry the machine, and eventually you stop using the clip at all and start losing crevice tools instead.

It fits back into its original mounting point. Give the wand a light pull once the new clip is in — it should hold without needing to be pressed home every time.
