The front wheels on a Clean Max ZM800 or Titan T500 upright carry part of the machine's weight and absorb every direction change as the vacuum gets steered around furniture. Unlike the rear wheels, which mostly roll straight, the fronts scrub sideways constantly, wearing their contact surface faster and unevenly over the life of the machine.
A flat-spotted or cracked front wheel makes the machine noticeably harder to push and can leave fine scuffs on hardwood, tile and laminate where the flat spot drags instead of rolling. Because the wear is rarely identical on both sides, one wheel usually goes first, and the machine starts pulling slightly toward that side well before the wheel looks obviously bad to the eye.
Part C010-2714B replaces the worn wheel in the original front position. Front wheels wear faster on machines used mostly on bare floors, where there is no carpet pile to soften the steering load, so facilities with more hard flooring than carpet should expect to swap these somewhat sooner than a mostly-carpeted account would.
A steady pull to one side during normal pushing, even a slight one, is usually the earliest sign of a flat-spotted front wheel and is worth checking before the wheel gets loud or visibly worn.
