The Central Vacuum Flexible Tubing 36-Inch Wire Type, part 06-1201-09, is a bendable pipe section for central vacuum installations built on standard 2-inch pipe. Rigid PVC handles the long straight runs well, but nearly every installation has a spot where a fixed elbow cannot make the turn: around floor joists, past ductwork, or through a crowded utility chase. This wire-reinforced tubing flexes smoothly through those areas while the internal wire keeps the walls from collapsing under suction.
Installers typically use flexible tubing to connect the trunk line to the power unit or to route branch lines through tight framing without stacking multiple fittings.
