This Centec upper wand (part 36027) carries a button-down locking mechanism and accepts a button-style lower wand, fitting standard 1-1/4 inch central vacuum connections. It forms the top section of a two-piece wand, linking the hose handle to the lower wand and floor tools.
A wand that has cracked at the coupling or worn its button lock rattles loose and can pull apart mid-clean, breaking suction and making the tool hard to steer. A solid replacement restores a firm, rattle-free joint so the wand stays locked together through the whole job.
