Red-bodied SEBO uprights take 5721DR when the top grip gives out. The handle is listed for the AUTOMATIC X4 and the AUTOMATIC X4 Boost, and SEBO draws it at item 34 on the AUTOMATIC X4 sheet, in the same cluster as the bag housing locking catch and the handle catch.
It is a part that fails quietly and then completely. Lifting the machine loads the moulding at its two fixings, so damage concentrates there: a hairline beside a boss, then a trace more movement than there was last month, then a clean break with a full vacuum on the end of it. Households spread over two or three floors put far more work through this grip than they would guess, which is why it turns up so regularly on order lists for these models. The swap itself is bench work of a few minutes, and what it restores is a hold that can be trusted on a staircase or over the lip of a car boot.
