Rear wheels and axles take constant abuse against furniture legs, thresholds, and tangled cords, which makes them common wear items. Worn or broken wheels make the vacuum harder to push and can scratch hardwood, tile, and laminate. Because the height-adjustment wheels also set brush-to-floor distance, fresh wheels help restore proper pickup.
