Carpet Pro Back Plate - SCB...

Product details
Part B352-0443 replaces the rigid back plate on a Carpet Pro SCBP1 or SCBP1.2 backpack vacuum. The identical plate turns up under several other badges: the Powr-Flite PF300BP, the CFR30BP, the Tornado 6 Quart Backpack, plus the SC412B sold by both Eureka and Sanitaire. This is the plate the harness bolts onto directly, so its condition decides how the whole pack rides on the operator's back.
Commercial cleaning crews set these machines down constantly, on concrete steps, tailgates, loading docks, and hallway floors between rooms. That repeated impact concentrates stress right at the harness bolt holes, and a plate that has taken enough of it will develop a hairline crack there first. Once that crack starts, the strap load stops transferring evenly, the pack tips to one side, and the crack lengthens under the ongoing weight of the motor housing until the mounting point gives way completely.
Fitting a new plate before that point keeps the straps pulling square and the motor properly supported, which is a comfort and control issue for whoever wears the machine through a full shift rather than a cosmetic one. Because several backpack platforms across different brands share this exact plate geometry, one part number covers a wide range of machines built on the same frame design.
Check the harness webbing and buckle hardware while the plate is off, since the same set-down abuse that cracks a back plate is usually aging the straps at the same rate, and handling both jobs in one sitting saves a second teardown later.
