This replacement carbon brush (Part #833400-63, also cataloged as #33400-13) is built for Ametek Lamb vacuum motors used across residential and commercial machines. The brushes carry current to the spinning armature and wear down as a normal part of motor service.
Sparking inside the motor, weaker suction, power that cuts in and out, or a burning smell all indicate the brushes are near the end of their life. Replacing them in time prevents lasting damage to the commutator.
