This 2-pack of carbon brushes (Part #135050, also 33505-1) is engineered for Ametek Lamb vacuum motors used across many residential and commercial machines. The brushes carry current to the motor armature and are a normal wear item.
Worn carbon brushes announce themselves with sparking at the motor, reduced suction, intermittent power, or a burning smell. Replacing them before they run out prevents lasting damage to the armature and commutator, which is far costlier to repair than a routine brush change.
