This harness strap buckle is a replacement fastener for the Carpet Pro SCBP1 and Eureka SC412 backpack vacuums. The buckle is what lets you cinch the harness snug and release it quickly at the end of a shift, and a cracked one makes the whole harness unreliable.
Backpack vacuums are only comfortable when the harness holds the machine firmly against your back. A broken buckle lets the load shift as you work, which throws off your balance and turns a long cleaning session into a sore one.
