This replacement Bottom Plate Assembly fits the 1060 and covers the underside of the vacuum's cleaning head, where the brush roll and airflow path sit. It is the component that sets the height and airflow geometry across the floor as you clean.
A bottom plate that is cracked, warped, or missing tabs lets air leak in around the nozzle and can leave the brush roll sitting at the wrong height, both of which reduce cleaning on carpet and bare floors. A sound replacement plate restores the correct seal and geometry for even pickup.
