SEBO Bottom Casing for D4 Canisters with Castors and Motor Seal, Red

Castors that no longer track straight, or a canister that rocks and clatters whenever it is towed, usually mean the lower shell has taken one knock too many. Part 8001DRER is the complete red bottom casing for the SEBO D4, and it arrives with the castor set 8086GS and the post-motor seal 8065ER already included.

That shell does three jobs at once. It carries the wheels, it locates the motor within the body, and its seal closes off the exhaust path, so damage here is felt as noise, as vibration through the hose, and as air escaping where it should not. Cracks tend to start at the castor mounts, which take every impact from stair edges and door frames, and a seal that has gone hard lets exhaust air short-circuit around the motor instead of passing through the filtration path. Buying the casing assembled avoids sourcing three items separately and discovering that one of them is the wrong revision.

Transfer the motor and cord assembly across from the old shell, then check the seal is seated all the way round before the machine is closed up, since a proud edge anywhere on that gasket undoes the work.
