Bosch's Compact canisters run a secondary filter behind the bag, and this is it: part 00095772, also printed as 095772. It is a protective motor filter, the last barrier between the fine dust the bag lets through and the motor itself. Our fitment data lists it for the BSA2100UC.
It is a part with no indicator and no obvious symptom until it is well overdue. What people notice is that the machine has gradually become less convincing: the floor head needs two passes, the motor note has risen, and nothing looks wrong when they check the bag and the hose.
Renewing it every six to twelve months keeps the airflow open and the motor breathing clean air. Check the model number on the base of your canister before ordering.
