This trigger rubber ball valve is a small replacement part for Bissell carpet cleaners, fitting inside the trigger assembly where it controls solution flow. Every time you press the trigger, the ball valve meters cleaning solution to the spray system; when the valve wears out, spray delivery is the first thing to suffer.
The symptoms are easy to recognize. If your carpet cleaner sprays inconsistently, leaks solution when it should be sealed, or fails to spray at all when the trigger is pressed, this valve is a likely culprit and a far simpler fix than replacing the whole trigger assembly. It is worth ruling out an empty solution tank first; if that checks out, the valve is the next place to look.
