The easy-fill clean water tank on a Bissell ProHeat 2X Revolution is closed by this screw-on cap, Bissell part 1606410. It fits the 1548, 1550 and 1551 Revolution cleaners along with the 1560, 1564, 1565 and 3579, and the same cap is used across the Revolution Pet Pro machines in the 1986, 2007 and 2283 series.
Caps take a beating because they come off every time you refill. The threads strip, the sealing face hardens, and the tank starts weeping down the side of the machine or losing pressure so the trigger sprays thin. A cap that will not seat squarely is worth replacing before it drips onto carpet you have just cleaned.
Fitting it is a two-second job: unscrew the old cap, thread the new one on and check it sits flat. Fill with hot tap water and the correct formula once it is on.
