This replacement Panasonic belt cover plate (part #AMC43S-L00) fits the 655 and 658 compact uprights. The plate covers the belt and pulley area, guarding the drive from debris and keeping fingers clear of moving parts.
A cracked or missing cover plate leaves the belt exposed to hair and grit that can wrap the pulley and throw the belt. It also removes a safety barrier over the spinning drive. A new plate protects the belt path so the drive stays clean and enclosed.
