This short beater bar support fits the Eureka VGI 12 inch upright vacuum and holds the beater bar in its correct position within the nozzle. Proper support is what keeps the brush roll at the right height, so the bristles make consistent contact with the carpet across every pass.
A cracked or worn support lets the bar sit low, wander, or vibrate. The result is uneven agitation, extra noise, and accelerated wear on the bar itself and on the belt that drives it. Because the support is inexpensive, replacing it early protects the more costly parts around it.
Fitment is specific to the 12 inch Eureka VGI upright. If you are already opening the nozzle for this repair, take a moment to inspect the beater bar and belt, since all three components wear as a group.
