Returns & Exchanges

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Product details

The cover release on a C-series canister turns on a small bearing point, and SEBO's number for the moulded cap over that point is 6039. It keeps the bearing correctly located in the housing so the latch turns on the axis it was designed around.

Split caps announce themselves as play at the pivot. The release starts to feel loose in the hand, hangs at an angle when it is let go, or grates as grit reaches a bearing that is no longer covered. The important point is that the fault lies at the pivot rather than in the latch itself, so fitting a new release will not cure it — the replacement simply rocks in the same worn seat and the owner concludes the new part was faulty. Capping the bearing again is what puts the action right, and it is a far smaller job than the one most people expect.
